We are inviting applications from students pursuing degree and Master’s courses, as well as those who have graduated within the past two years, in art and related disciplines at colleges and universities across Delhi. Selected artists will come together for a group exhibition showcasing a range of emerging practices.
We are interested in work that feels curious, challenging, experimental, unexpected, or particularly engaged with the possibilities of contemporary art. We are less interested in a particular medium or aesthetic than in the ideas, questions, processes, and approaches behind the work.
The exhibition will bring together students from different institutions across Delhi, creating a space to encounter practices that might otherwise remain within the boundaries of the individual institutions.
We welcome applications from artists working across all mediums.
Who can apply
Students in Master's, in their last year of their degree, and those who have graduated within the past 2 years.
Participation in the Student Biennale does not disqualify you from participating in the Thapar Gallery exhibition.
What to submit
- 5 images of recent work
- A short description of your practice (up to 150 words)
- Your name, institution, course, and year of study
- Instagram/website, if applicable
You do not need to have an established exhibition history. We are interested in looking at the work itself and in getting a sense of where your practice is going.
The exhibition will be curated from the submissions, with the aim of bringing together a group of distinct practices rather than representing individual colleges.
